Default MSN Direct

Anyone try this yet?

http://phone.msndirect.com/phone/index.html

I installed it, and it appears it will only work as a homescreen plug in. And, it tends to hang up when I move between screens or go into the options. When I uninstalled it, it even restarted my phone without asking, which is the first app to do that.....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just a homescreen plugin. And the homescreen that came with it is pretty much crap.

This should be useful once the great homescreen makers start to make use of it. I modified one to use it and it works okay but some of these guys are great with homescreens so I look forward to seeing what they can do.

Yeah, I was going to take a look at using the plug in in the homescreen I use, but after it kept locking up when I would navigate to the different screens, or try to set my location for weather, I gave up....

Here's how it went down this morning:

-Read about it.
-Installed it (Q9c).
-It automatically changed my homescreen layout/theme.
-I tried to change my theme back to what i was using, ran horribly slow
-Wanted to exit the program, so went to Task Manger to kill it; locked up task manager
-Other programs ran sloooooooooooooooow.
-Uninstalled

Installed this on my q9h, and like others have said, it took my pretty Facade homescreen and turned it into crap. the plug-in has promise, and if we could find a way to integrate it into facade, then i think we would have something here.

Ditto for me.
-Installed it. Immediately dissapointed that it took the center space on my home screen and pushed my notification for email/mms/sms off the main screen.
-Used it for a bit, found it kinda useless (couldn't get the weather setting to take)
-Sent my feedback to Microsoft
-Uninstalled it

Nice to see that they hired over some Windows developers so that we now have to reboot our phone just like a PC after every install/uninstall

It's pretty easy to add it to the current Facade homescreen. You can add it to the bottom by going to Facade Settings program ->Menu -> Plugins

and enabling MSNDirect Plugin. It should be towards the bottom.

As previously posted by another user, this program is very unstable. It crashes all of the time.

I have been using on a Q9h for about a day now with Facade. So far, it seems to be working well. My weather, stocks, and selected news are all showing up as I have choosen. I don't use IM or Hotmail tough. No problems or crash here.

Version 0.1.56560.0
