Moving data from OS X to Q via Missing Sync I've had an ongoing issue when it comes to moving data from a directory on my MAC to the Q using Missing Sync -- to the phones storage card OR device memory. The steps I take are basic as can be. I connect the Q to my MAC via USB. Missing Sync automatically launches. I mount the Q as a virtual drive. The problem usually occurs when moving multiple files at once -- jpegs. I think it has to do with the size in total of the files I'm moving from the computer to the phone. Whenever this would happen, my only option would be to move each pic, one by one. I've upgraded to the latest version of Missing Sync v. 3.0.1. The new version allows for iphoto syncing. So this pretty much solved the multiple pics problem. However, I'm still unable to manually move large files such as mp4 files that are about 400mb. The phone is properly mounted as a drive. I can move small files within the directories of the phone. But if I try to move a large file from the MAC to the Q and vice versa, what happens is the progress bar for the file copy/move reaches 100%. At the very bottom of the progress bar, it shows 'copy complete (closing file)'. But that's where it gets stuck. So then I use the force quit command on the MAC to close out the MIssing sync. I disconnect the phone from my computer. I browse through the folders on the phone to locate the file. The file I find is smaller than what the original file size is on the computer's copy and it obviously can't be opened.
So anyone have a similar issue? Any advice would be great. |
