Default Moto Q9h and BlackBerry Connect

BlackBerry Connect works fine on my Q9h except when I use Google Maps, Microsoft Live Search, or some other app that requires the pulling down of data. When I use them, my Q9h goes from "BlackBerry: Connected" to "BlackBerry: Network Available." As such, my email is no longer pushed to my Q9h. If I turn it off and then back on, the problem seems to correct itself. Question, what can I do besides turning my Q9h off to keep BlackBerry Connect connected?

Any sort of data activity will bump your BC off the network, such has IM, a weather program doing an auto update, the internet, etc. There is supposed to be a default length of time that BC will try to restablish a connections, which I found to be less than reliable. For this reason I uninstalled BC. I constantly had to re boot my phone to establish a connection. For me connecting to our outrlook server via outlook.xxxxxxxx.com was just fine. You have the same functionality (maybe less than a minute longer to recieve an email) without the limitations of the BB BEZ.

Yes, I understand that. I'm wondering if there is a utility program that I can run with a single button click, as when using BlackBerry Connect on an AT&T Tilt, that will allow me to suspend and then reconnect BlackBerry Connect without rebooting my Q9h?

If you go into the Blackberry Connect settings menu (by clicking on the Blackberry line or icon from your home screen), then click Status, you can suspend and resume the Blackberry Service from there. As long as you don't kill your Blackberry software, you won't have to reboot. However, if you do, just create a shortcut for the "BBMain.exe" file from the Blackberry folder under Program Files, and you can launch that to regain the ability to Resume and Suspend. I actually Suspend it when not working just to save battery life.

Smile Thank you!

Thank you so much. IT WORKS!! I have been on that screen over a hundred times and for some odd reason, I had not noticed the "suspend" button on the lower left. Works like a charm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I too had the very same problem that you described. I did notice the "suspend" and "resume" option, but when the BB connect get's "kicked out" by something, that option becomes greyed out.

I tired the fix suggested and it works great!

Thanks heaps.
