Default More Browsing Options?

I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the IE implementation on the Q, and the browsing capabilities. The inability to support frames, frequent loss of the cursor, and the incorrect display/omitting of data make it a for internet browsing.

It is not very functional or practical and I often find myself going to a PC to retrieve browser pages. I'm wondering if there is another option for browsers on the Q that would provide better display options and better feature support. I'm not asking for Flash or Quicktime (although that would ROCK), but at least display the page properly, instead of truncating or just skipping large sections of the page altogether.

Does anyone know if Firefox or an alternative to IE is out there for the Q?

There is nothing else at the moment, unless you want to install a Java environment and try Opera Mini. I have not had much luck with it. If you have the software update (VZW) then IE does support frames.

I Do have VZW, but how do I go about getting a software update? I haven't received any notification from my carrier that there was one...

Thanks!

Try a few searches here and at qusers.com. There are threads dedicated to it.

Do you have a Java emulator that will work Scott?

I don't have the link handy, but IBM's J9 Java environment works. The link is buried somewhere in these forums, but I'm posting from my phone so I can't find it at the moment.
