Does Sprite ask you to reset the device when you first run it? And does it delete all the SMS and MMS stuff when it does reset?

Also...does Sprite restore, restore all of your previous SMS?

I am confirming that it DOES save SMS. I performed a Master Reset and then reinstalled my Backup. Bing! SMS from 12/17/06 in my inbox!

Default Upgrade aftermath?

The upgrade went well and battery life is now much better! I do have a problem - can anyone help?
The power options reset to some default level every time I unlock the device after it has been locked. The most frustrating is the display time out which reverts to 5 second after an unlock.
I can change the settings, and it will remain in effect until the next time the device is locked and unlocked, then I need to re-enter the preferred settings.
Any help would be appreciated.

The upgrade was smooth, however I didnt backup first and wished I would have. My main complaint is that I didnt see much on the Moto site about the update (ie. release notes, instructions, how to do the *228 thing after, ....etc). They need to understand that most of the phone users that will be installing this upgrade will not be IT professionals.

It backed up and restored all of my registry hacks, themese, even the beloved Orange DLL. I've noticed quicker speeds when manipulating the Q and I do like the BT Volume dial using the jog dial.

I followed the instructions here and it went down real smooth. I encourage y'all to try it. I was very apprehensive b/c of the amount of hacking i've done and finally getting it perfect and I wasn't diappointed.
What s/b the lastest version #?
Thanks
