Default MobiTV PPC (from Free App Friday) WORKING!!!

I got the MobieTV PPC version that was given away on friday from Handango to work on the Q.

I am not a programmer, so if I went the LONG way around, spare me the insults.

What I did was usd a PPC emulator on my PC to install mobiTV. I then copied the install directory to my Q. Launched the .EXE and used sphelper.exe to get around....

I hope for those of you who downloaded this, that this will help...

Jon

Do you still have to pay the subscription after a week though? I read you have to pay ten bucks a month after a certain amount of time

I never read the fine print, stupid me, lol... thanks for making me aware of this. I will have to check and find out what exactly was included with the FREE APP FRIDAY. I just emailed Handango, so we will see...

Thanks again,
Jon

In the email they sent you when you did it lol

MobiTV for Pocket PC
1 $9.99 No key required This is the full version of MobiTV for Pocket PC, so no registration key will be needed. Developer of MobiTV for Pocket PC says: Note: in some cases it may take up to 3 hours from the time of purchase before your MobiTV service is provisioned. If you launch MobiTV and receive a TRY offer, please exit the application and try again later. (Accepting the TRY offer will initiate your account in trial mode, and you will be forced to call MobiTV to have your account reset once the provisioning period is complete). After I posted, I found that... I edited my post, but you are just to quick for me. I emailed Handango, so I will see what they have to say. When I went to MY ACCOUNT at Handang and checked my SUBSCRIPTION services, MobiTV was there and said that it would renew on 12/2/2007.

I will cancel before I have to pay, I don't watch TV on my Q, I just d/l it because it was free and I wanted to try to get it to work on my Q.

Thanks,
Jon
