Default MIDP 2.0 with JSR-82 Support (Bluetooth wireless technology API)?

Looking at this product for my car, does anyone know if the Q has MIDP 2.0 with JSR-82? I have no clue what that even means. The website doesn't have the Q listed, but I'm not sure if it has been tested yet. They go on to say that if the device has these profiles it will work. Here is the link:

The Q does not come with Java, which is required to run MIDP applications. There is one Java environment I know of that will run on the Q--IBM's J9.

Tech support wrote back saying it wouldn't work. I'm intrigued by your post. Does this mean that I might be able to run the java app needed for it to work on the Q? Sorry I know nothing about java other than I used to play java games on my old nextel phone. Also all I see is it listed for the Dell axhiom for the mobile 5

I would say it's a definite maybe.

I use J9 to run the Opera Mini java application and it works pretty well. I have not tried any other Java apps, but it's certainly worth a try.

Wow that would be awesome! I really want this thing. It allows you to unlock your car/start your car and a host of other things with your phone! How much was this to buy? I see they have a demo, but would have to use it longer than the demo time I suppose

Just register and download the demo. They don't charge for that--I don't think it expires either.

Bringing this back to life--I found a lib called avetana that supports JSR-82 using IBM's J9 so BlueTooth access can be enabled via Java.

I've yet to get it to work, but maybe we can pool out brains.
