Probably the closest thing to what your requesting is Clearvue Suite, but you can't edit files - you can only view them. There is one product that also allows you to edit native Excel files on Smartphones, it's PTab.

Microsoft is supposedly releasing a Mobile Office version for Smartphones later this year, but as I heard it, you still won't be able to edit the files.

Question

I went to both clearvue and ptabs and when I went to download free trials my Q says that it cannot view file. Do I have to download to my PC first?

Probably. Unless the files you downloaded have the extension .cab, you will need to install the programs using your PC with the Q connected via Activesync.

I think this is supposed to be Pocket PC, not Palm PC.

I checked Microsoft's website for Windows Smartphone 5.0. The website makes it look like office is supposed to come preinstalled on Smartphone 5.0 devices.

It turns out that the web address from MSoft only shows the software loaded from the factory. I was told by VerizonWireless that there is software available elsewhere from folks like Handango., but after looking through their website I found nothing that was comparable. I have also talked with VZW tech support which also turned up nothing. I have been told that if you can locate the software it will work on the Q. I am heading back to the VZW store who told me where to find the software tomorrow...maybe they can be more helpful. If anything turns up I will repost. Sorry I wish I could be more helpful!!
