Default Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 SP1

I saw this is available for download while Googling. I'm wondering if I should install. Is this something I should install to upgrade Q?? Or is this just an add-on I'll most likely never need. Any input would be appreciated

Well, alot of new programs that are coming out require the SP1, i know programs like Map4PDA and some of the Weather ones that use nice graphics require it so you might as well install it just for more support

I just installed it on my Q. I now can use Google Map nationwide Map4PDA another interesting URL is Radio4PDA.com. I'm hoping it works for a bunch of other stuff. Still learning.

Stryker. I just picked up a Q and was told TeleNav supports the Q. Not yet though. I ran across your thread and would like to try that new version of Microsoft Compact Framework 2.o SP1. Any current issues? I down loaded the maps 4pda and needs the newest version.

just search google for .net 2.0 framework for smartphones and the first link will be to the MS page to DL it....its a .msi file so you need to have your Q hooked up to the computer with the usb cable and running the install file from your desktop and your all set

Microsoft Link

This thing is like 40 megs. How much space does it take on the Q?

I'm considering getting it so that I can use export contacts.

It takes up about 4Mb on your device and you can install it to a storage card.
