I've been using Mesh for a while now. It's one of sites on my links page that I made for the sliding panels homescreen.
I prefer to keep my cab files on my sd card but I use mesh to upload files from work and I grab them later on the phone.
Looking forward to the dedicated app.

oh, i thought orb also allowed doc downloads to other devices. I use orb mostly for streaming my mp3s to my Q9c so i don't have to waste SD space on Mp3s. it works very well although WMP can be a little annoying as has been discussed in many threads. I like the storing cab idea.

i think orb is strickly audio/video
where as mesh is any file...but more of a storage thing
you cant acutally install from or run mp3s directly from it...you would have to download it to your Q or PC and then be able to use the files

with Orb you can also access all files on your home pc, from a remote location... via the web.

yeah i tried zadesktop, and ultravnc and just couldn't get my brain to make them work. orb was simple and i loved that it also let me stream media to my Wii so now i can watch movies and listen to music from my pc on my main TV.it saves all kinds of time and image quality not having to convert video and burn dvds.
