Mail Question

I've tried using xpress and the other way...

is there a way to not have the emails get deleted off the server (optonline in my case) when i delete an email off of the phone???? I can't find an option anywhere...or is there another application i can download for email that has a setting to not delete off server

in outlook on the PC go to the settings and check the box 'leave messages on server' and that should help you

When you are using Xpress mail, go to the account settings. When you get to the screen that has the Automatic Send/Receive options, there is a link at the bottom of that screen that says Advanced Settings. The option you are looking for is in that Advanced Settings screen.

I tried that, when i click on account settings nothing happens!

this has nothing to do with outlook...i'm not using it...i'm going to optonline's website and check my mail through there.

Ahhh, I feel your pain, from personal experience. The first account you set up in Xpress can only be modified from the XM Settings icon from the Start menu, and the options are few once that account has been set up.

All I can tell you is what I ended up doing. Since that first account was so problematic when it comes to stuff like this, I ended up starting from scratch, and used a "throw-away" account that I don't use much as that first XM account, and then added my Gmail and Yahoo accounts. This gives me more cotrol over the settings on my Gmail and Yahoo accounts.

If you do decide to start from scratch, you go into XM Settings, then hit the right soft-key menu option, and choose either Re-register or Reset All Data, then you can add that first account back again, then add any other accounts.

when i use the "other mail" not xpress...i can't send any emails...i know my outgoing server is correct but it just wont send...wwwwtffffffffff

plus now i uninstalled xpress and im trying to re download it and it wont download...this sucks

Go into the optimum on line account and check your settings there. I will check my settings for you tomorrow when I get on my computer. I use optonline.net and I leave a copy of e-mails on the server. I had a problem setting up e-mail at first, but it works fine now. If a solution isn't posted before I get to my office, I will try tomorrow.
