.m4v file to play on tcpmp - Motorola Q Forum

i have a video from itunes, in .m4v format, put it on my storage card, i checked the box for .m4v files to play, and it still doesnt work. anything im doing wrong or i need to get it to play? thanks.

What error do you get??
I haven't used any videos from iTunes on my Q yet,
Perhaps it's a DRM issue with Apple iTunes store. You could try renaming the file to .mp4 and see if that will allow TCPMP to play it.

i dont get an error. it just doesnt play. it shows a screen of the vid as if it is frozen, and the time lapse on the top right shows as: /5:10..then after a while it will show 0:09/5:10..but still be on the same screenshot, not a new screen but the same picture (like the beginning of the vid on pause)

And trying to rename it to .mp4 before transferring it to your Q doesn't help?

If not, I suspect DRM issues.

nope, didnt work, i renamed it to .mp4, same problem.

So you bought this vid on iTunes? I think they Copyright vids and music bought from the iTunes store. Well I know they do for music, never bought a video from them.

You'd be better off getting your vids from DVDs thenselves, and converted to AVIs PocketDivxEncoder or MPG4s with 1Click DVDTOIPOD , or Clone DVDMobile.
