Default Linesman

UPDATE: Now on Moto Q9h but still interested in information on using Moto Q with GPS.

I am planing to upgrade to a new PDA system that will accommodate a specific software program called "Linesman". The details of that are here:

http://www.trenchmap.com/

I did my search and settled on the Motorola Q as the best devise and now I see reference to a Motorola Q9h. I am not that advanced.

I am a Palm Vx user, but it has died recently and so I want to pass my Motorola V220 to my wife and buy a new Motorola unit. From what I have read, I can forgo another PDA unit to do the GPS mapping of "Linesman" and have the power of my Palm Vx and V220 if I buy a Motorola Q.

Am I out to lunch or on the right track? I live in Ontario Canada and have been a Rogers (Cantel) user for 24 years and so I would have to leave them for Telus or Bell. I would be pleased to hear from users on those services as well as to their experience in Canada, as well as in Central America and Europe, using the Q.

Thanks for any assistance.
