Lightbulb Killer app for the Q?

Ok, first I am going to give a little introductory to my post. I do not want anyone to get me wrong with this, and I am not stating that I do not find the Q to be a good smartphone. The Q is the most amazing device I have ever purchased (and believe me, I've purchased plenty). This thread is being written to simply expand my knowledge about the Q.

What I was wanting to know is this; What is the killer app for the Moto Q? It seems that every device now has a killer app, with the xbox having halo, playstation having Metal Gear Solid, and such. I just want to know what application for the Q makes it just entirely worth buying the device, besides all the other goodies. What I guess I'm saying is, what application for the Q is the best of the best.

Hope you guys can come up with some goodies.

This is a tricky question... you will get different answers depending on who replies. Q owners are a diversifed group, not like blackberry owners who are mostly business users. You have your techies, your business users, your textaholics, your game/emulator fans, your people who just like to have cool things, your mp3 lovers, teenie boppers, 25 yr olds, 45 yr olds, etc... each one of these people will probably give you a different app when asked this question.

If I absolutley had to give one app that reigns over the others as far as my day to day goes, it would have to be "Live Search". Its just a very good, well thought out, useful application. But, I am a 30yr old educator. I'm sure the average 17 yr old would not agree.

The killer app is whatever helps you the most; it's totally subjective. "Halo" is only a killer app on the Xbox if you like shooter games, for example.

I suggest looking at the software sticky thread and seeing if any of those appeal to you.

Just so the OP won't waste time clicking both links, that's the same thread that I linked to. I just call it the "software sticky thread" because it's the only sticky thread that seems to be devoted to multiple types of programs.

The reason I went with the Q at time of purchase was because on the sling media website they had a picture of the Q running slingplayer. I wanted to be sure that I got a phone capable of running it.

That being said, if you do not have a slingbox at home, slingplayer isn't a 'killer app' for you.

I would say that I agree with the above though, that for most users, (myself included mostly) that windows live search for mobile is definately at the top of the list of killer apps for the Q. With it, I can find a number and/or an address of a business in a few seconds. Its ability to integrate with an external gps receiver is also really cool.

I was not trying to say "what application do you all agree on would be the best app". I was just asking which application each of you thinks is the greatest?"

I guess I did not clarify on that, sorry. I guess I should have just typed that.
