Default Menu Version

Or, if you want a menu-based version, just press and hold the Home button and you'll get the Quick List menu with other options besdies Key lock.

Default difference between device lock and key lock

I am trying to figure out the difference between device lock and key lock (on the Quick List).

The manual is not clear on this.

It seems like the only difference is that with device lock you can have a delay before it takes effect and you can put password protection on it.

Is that right?

If that's true, does that mean you have to enter a password when a phone call comes in?

You can answer a call without entering a password... You can also "deal" with calendar items that come due... However, all other items are locked out without putting in the passcode...

Be carefull... somehow mine got "stuck" on five minutes and no one, even multiple tech support folks at verzion and moto could figure out how to turn it off now or adjust it beyond 5 minutes... For me, under the security settings, altering the time is grayed out...

Their only solution... do a hard reset and reload everything... ugh!

Not quite. You can also make calls using a Bluetooth headset.

Some people call it a security bug, though. Personally, I like it and you have to have paired your headset anyway, so unless somebody gets your Q and headset, it's not a big deal.

I just wish I could use the OK button to confirm the "Did you say...?" prompts if the device is locked (because "Yes" never works for me).
