Just to let you all know, they have a new version out: 0.9.2.4

They now have sound notifications and a home screen plugin option!

Hi all, I love the latest build of jivetalk. My wife has it for blackberry and on my Q9h, it works pretty well.

HOWEVER, i can't turn the notification sound off? I go to Profile setting in my phone and change it to vibrate profile or even silent profile and it still goes off. I would love to just have it vibrate. My wife's blackberry has it just a blinking light when there's new message. I wish my Q9h has something liek that. any ideas how to turn off the sound notification at least?

Not really. I have the same problem with the notifications (going off even when on silent or vibrate). I contacted the developers about it and they said that they were aware of the problem and that they hope to have better notification controls in future releases....personally I'm hoping the enhancement will come soon!

greetings.
when i saw your reply, first thing i did was to flip through the manual to find the function key, just in case i missed another method to access the special characters, but there werent any function key listed in the manual. so i suppose you're talking about the alt key and caps key? ¿_¤§ i can access it anywhere and everywhere else, just now jive.

any other solutions?

thanks though.
