I would imagine it is however many contacts the phone can hold. Which is a number I can't seem to find...

i think you are right...the Q can hold however many it can before it runs out of memory...i have over 200 on mine and doesnt look like it is going to stop syncing them

I have 631 contacts right now and they all sync and work properly. Then on a secondary non-work contact list I have 42 more.

So far this phone rocks quirks and all.

I dont know most of mine either they are all business contacts for work.
I bet my personal list is about 30 or so.
