 |  Instant Messaging Software I know they have Octro, and mundu but what i want to know is if my 10 mb Data Plan will be enough to use it. I tried Searching but couldn't find a exact answer. I don't use any other programs that uses the data Plan besides my email on my phone. |

its hard to guess really... it all depends on the length you use it unfortunately i dont believe you can find anywhere the amount of kb/mb the programs use... you could always test it out for a day and check your usage either online or with your carrier

   | i can't imagine instant messages would use that much data.. but yea, it also depends on the amount and length of the messages.

| I use Spb's data monitor (as I can't get unlimited data), maybe IM 20-30 sentences a day and hardly notice any use. Somewhere around 40kb a day, having Palringo up all day (using the data/power save function), and not sending pictures. Just a rough guess for ya! That is way less then checking my email 10x's a day at 40kb a pop. Again..just a rough estimate!! |

| I am going to look into that software but i mean i can spare 150kb a day so if 20-30 sentences a day is only 40 kb i think i will be ok. My Data usage this month was 7000 kb but i did try out some network software and went to a few non moble versions of web sites so that had to do with that. But normaly i just use my data plan for my email. |

| Palringo is free also. I started saving alot of kb's once I realized it used my home/work network for data, and not the EVDO! What a dummy I was! I keep her tethered when I can, so the scheduled stuff like email and weather data downloads arent from the Q. Kinda sucks watching your usage, huh? |
