Question Installing software on the Q

I've downloaded software to my computer but can't figure how to install them on my Q. After unzipping them where do I put them and how do I get them to run an install routine????

there will be 2 types of files for installing programs. either a .exe(computer) or a .cab(Q) if it's an exe install from your computer. if it's a .cab which is probably what u have (because when it's opened with computer. it opens like a .rar/.zip), put that file on your Q via activsync and then open that file from your Q

Default cab

After installing, do I need to leave the cab file on the Q, or can I remove it?

I have tried to install a couple of different cab programs (tcpmp.pocketpc.072rc1.cab is one of them), but I keep getting the message "the installation file is not intended for this device."
Any guesses?

Even when I trasfer a .cab file to my Q, and open it, it keeps saying that a component is missing. Any ideas on this?
