Default Installing a CAB file (Inbox Extender)

I'm trying to install the Inbox Extender CAB file but I get stuck. I get the CAB files onto my Q, but when I try to run them I get an error message that says there is no application associated with the files and it asks if I'd like to choose an application. I don't think that's going to be fruitful.

Similarly, if I try to run the Setup file from my Q (setup.xml), it gives me a page of the code.

I haven't tried installing any other CAB files but I'm guessing I'd have the same result. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

The .cab is meant to be run on the Q. Make sure the name has not been changed--it need to be InboxExtender.CAB.

Just curious, what exactly does the inbox extender do? I just enabled my active sync wirelessly and noticed that it only shows a hand full of folders, and not the entire folder list I have on my outlook client. I have rules setup up so certain emails go to these folders that dont seem to be visibale, does this .cab file happen to fix this?

Inbox Extender add two options to your menu when in the Inbox. They are Delete All and Mark All as Read.

Dang, I was hoping it was a fix for my folder list. The folders are stored on the exchange server, they arent personal folders or anything so I dont get why they wont show up in the list. Oh well, gonna have to dig around some more.

You have to select manually the folders you want shown. Open your email, click on Menu, then click on Folders, then click on Menu again and click on Manage Folders. At that point, you will see a list of all your Outlook folders, just pick the ones you want to show on the Q.
