how to install software? (Candlelight and others)

Hi, I’m a noob to the smartphone thing and I’m having problems installing cabs. For Candlelight, I downloaded the zip file from the software section and inside is an xml file and 2 other files. I put them all on the Q but there’s nothing to install so how does this work? Sorry if this has already been covered. I did some searching on how to install and just got specific apps and the threads never covered my question.

I don't think you need to put them all on the Q, just the Candlelight.CAB file. Once you've done that, open up the File Manager, go to My Documents and look for the Candlelight.CAB file. Once you highlight it, hit the middle button in your 4-way directional pad and it should start installing.
