How do I know if my Q software is the latest?

I purchased my Q back in March 2007. How do I know if I need to upgrade the software? Which version is the latest? Also, how do I know which version of Active Sync is on my Q? Is this something you can upgrade?

you can search the site for the firmware numbers
OR
you can go to the motorola site and try to upgrade and see if it tells you to or not
and you cant upgrade the active sync software on the device only the PC

as of 10/5/07 latest Active sync is 4.5
I tried to update my phone software yesterday (Motorola site) & got message that I had the latest. In "phone info" it shows as
Q2-BP_C_06.0B.11P
MP_BSP_C_02.07.55_30P_HW_P21.

Click Start -> Settings -> Phone information.
