how come i can't get my moto q to work

i am operating on a vista computer and i don't think my server thingys are connected correctly. how do i get this darn thing to work

are you using Windows Mobile Device Center ? needed to sync with Vista... and a little more specific might also help us to help you.

I have downloaded and installed the program, but it comes up as an error when i run it. The server could not be reached. Please verify the server name.

i also get an error message when i am trying to get my email retreived on the smart phone as well that says unable to connect to incoeing mail server. verify that the server name is correct then try again

I had the same problem with connecting . actually my pc runs xp and laptop vista . so for pc i use activesync and for vista as rb said Windows Mobile Device Centerand it works great now .

when you install Windows Mobile Device Center you get an error ? or when you connect the Q ?

when the Q is connected to the pc by default it tries to use the pc's internet connection, this is a seperate issue described in this thread.
