How to App Unlock MOTO Q?

Edit the following registry key:
To unlock:
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies:
Change the DWORD named "1001" to 1
Change the DWORD named "1005" to 40

Are new programs going to appear?

I un locked my Q on the telus network with no issues using this method found at this site. http://robertpeloschek.blogspot.com/...r-windows.html

To check to see if it was unlocked I used smart tweaker which failed to install before i did the unlock now it worked.

here's s dumb question from a tech idiot...

where do i find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security.... on my moto Q?
i'm trying to load smartweaker on to my Q, but it's locked.

i looked at some of the other links, and those look painful as well.

i'm just looking for the easiest way possible to unlock the Q so i can get smarttweaker on.

can someone please help me!?!?!

Is smart tweaker a reg edit program. If so I think that is the type of prgram you need to unlock it. You can find HKEY_LOCAL_etc.etc.etc with a reg edit program. Or try this thread: http://www.everythingq.com/forum/sof...cked-1331.html

Does anyone have the original registry values for a April 2007 Sprint Q?

I unlocked my phone to install smart tweaker and now I want to lock it back up. I forgot to backup my registry. These are the new value changes I made:

00001001 value = 1
00001005 value = 40

I need the original values. Plus, how do you undo SDA_ApplicationUnlock? If possible, I want avoid a master reset.

Please help. I enabled Smart Tweaker's Application Lock but I didn't see any changes to the registry values.

I know this because I'm in the process of changing my registry in order to add smartweaker...but it won't let me. I'm getting an 'Access Denied' message when I try to change the registry values with Mobile Registry Editor. I got the Q last week and have the MOL3 update installed.
