HELP installing Agile Messenger - Motorola Q Forum

I went to the free download section of this forum. I want to install Agile for the Q. When I download I get a zip file. When I extract, the "setup" file is an xml file. When I click on that file I Internet Explorer opens a file showing the text of code. (or whatever)

How do I install this to my Q?

When the files are unzipped and placed into a folder, it is showing as .xml and opening that way. Do think I could rename the file .cab ?

After you unzip(extract all) it, go into the folder and drag and drop or copy and paste what you need to the correct folder in your mobile window that you should have open.

Not sure of the file extension...

Got it. I did figure out to move it to a folder on the phone and then found the cab file. I'm used to installing apps on the pc and having the pc install with activesync.

ive tried everything how do u make it into a .cab file?

You don't have to make it into a cab file. Unzip the files on the pc and move them all to a folder on the Q. Look in that folder and you will see the cab file.

You don't have to creat a cab file. You either have a file that is a .exe or a .cab file. The .exe file is for pc and the .cab file is for the Q. If your double click on it on your pc and it doesn't install it to your Q, then you just simply need to take the whole file and put it on the Q. Then run the file from your Q.

i had in installed but when i got it running on the Q all i got when i got an IM was ????? and squares. Anybody else get this?
