Default great task closer - map "Close Active" to Red Hang Up button

Having just moved to a VZN Q9c (from original Q), in addition to loading all my old trusty software, I have experimented/added a few new ones. A great app that has been referenced before is a button mapper / application closer called AE Button Plus.

I have it set so that a single tap on the Red Hang Up Button ends a call; a double tap closes the active application.

This functionality (mapping "close active..." to the End Call hardware button) has long been an objective of mine on the Q.

Agreed. I have been using for about a day and so far it works like a champ. One note, apparently you need to split out the "end call" and "kill active task" functionality. So ... as I mentioned in the 1st post, map end call to "Press Red Button and double tap to "Close Active.

I think it's better to map Close Active to the "hold" action of the Right softkey, that way you avoid all the mess of the fumbling with the hang up button.

Different strokes ... to me, close active via the "End" key just makes sense.

In the grand scheme of things, I actually call upon 3 different task closers:
-AE Button Plus as my first line of defense for closing active application
-Task Manager in PhoneAlarm is mapped to the action key when on home screen
-Native Task Manager Mapped to the"x"/"8" key

YEP!... You are correct sir. I found that when I only assigned the red button to "Close Active Application" on double-press... I could NOT end a phone call! roflmao!... SO. Set single press as press red button and double press as close application and you're good to go.

uuuhmmm. It's FREE. You only pay for additional features. (Pop-up menu with important AEBPlus actions. This feature is available in activated version only).
