Default GPS Question

Hello! I have read question on the forum about GPS on the Motorola Q. I Have looked into bluetooth GPS (I am leaning towards the Freedom key chain), but wanting to know what free software is out there that has audio instructions as well as on screen?

Don't think there's anything free out there right now that's compatible with the Q that also has voice turn-by-turn directions. There was one such program referenced in another GPS thread here at EQ, but a version compatible with the Q had not yet been released (it was supposedly in development, though). For free software, best bets right now are Windows Live Search and Google Maps. If voice turn-by-turn directions, are a must, then you might just have to pay for Sprint Navigation.

First, I have the Freedom 2000 Keychain GPS and love it, great choice!

Next, I'll just ditto the above and add that one advantage of MS Live over Google is that MS Live will at least beep when you are coming up to a turn. (Plus the added features of gas prices, etc.)

Default Sprint Navigation Newbie

Back Story: Live in Atlanta; travel to colleges 3 days a week all over the southeast. Bought Q9c on the road in Alabama, plugged it in the car and immediately started the GPS program. I put in all the info for where I am going, she (yes, she) told me where I was; I smiled. I then heard the most lovely voice tell me to continue ahead for 35 more miles. I actually looked at the phone and said "I love you". I dont know how I got along without a GPS system. I have sinced called her many other things which I wont repeat here. When a call comes in, it gets stuck sometimes. I wish there was a status button so I could have her repeat the voice thing.

Now that I know what Sprint Navigation does, what more could any GPS do? Why would I need another program? I get from A to B, find hotels near there, find the all important Starbucks where ever I go. Please let me know what I am missing out on.
