It doesnt always lock onto the cell towers. I am sitting in my apt and it wont lock onto any towers.
It did work before while I was at the job. Forgot to try it while I was walking to and from the train station.

I have a Bluetooth GPS receiver linked to my Q9m.....My location works GREAT when the receiver is linked!!

Just updated, Changed start menu Icon, It finds my street now, If I've been using my bluetooth GPS receiver and then turn it off the my location seems to be working...I'll test it more tomorrow.

The real test is if my location works while your in doors, away from open sky.

According to Mexiken, you need to be in range of 3G towers. Edge towers will not work.

**edited: I proved this to be wrong. It does not matter if using 3G or E.

@ everyone else, why is it so difficult to understand? GPS works with Google Map Mobile but that is not the "My Location (beta) feature". The sure way to tell is to go to the "help, about" and scroll down to the bottom to "myl: N/A" that probably means "Not Available". If you see that, it means your device won't use cell tower triangulation. But, GMM still will use a GPS if your device has one. On the Q9H the "myl: N/A" is replaced with "myl: 310:410:55032:14002".

Better yet, why don't you just believe the message that says your device is not compatible?

Currently, the Q9H with 6.1 is the only Q that has the "My Location (beta) feature" working.
