Just curios. I play golf as much as possible and some courses have GPS on the carts. Also you can buy GPS units for golf courses but I was wondering if anybody knows of one that can use the GPS on the phone.
That's actually a great idea, but doubt there's a market large enough for the Golf Course GPS companies to support...... They want to sell you 'their' units.
I personally prefer my Laser, it's more accurate and I can laser anything. Also don't have to guess where the flag might be on the green, I laser it and I get the 'exact' yardage.

I used the Intelligolf Birdie edition on my Treo 650 for several years. They do offer a smartphone version, and they do have a GPS option for smartphones that have GPS built in. I imagine I will be buying this myself this summer.

Cool...a laser on my Q9h, now that would be a nifty app, but does it drain the battery
