Default Get Video to play on your Q!

Ok... this is quite a roundabout way of getting video for you Q... but at least its a good way of doing so to build up a library of youtube videos, etc.,

1. Get Camtasia's Screen Recorder Trial software:
http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.asp

2. Use Camtasia to record the video you are interested in.

3. Export (or 'produce') the video as .wmv, or .avi and WALA!

----I play .avi's using TCPMP because my Camtasia produces .wmv's with the windows 9.0 audio codec and my .072 TCPMP doesn't recognize the audio.----

Let me know if that sound worth the work and if you're successful as well!

Or you could just use this, which I just found and is actually a lot easier. (Not sure if it works yet though...)

Informative

DVD Catylyst 2.0 works well to format DVD, Dvix formats (http://www.pocketdvd.ca/), you can also download windows media encoder (free) Although it won't convert DVDs for you. I have used these programs for my Axim (WMP10) it converted a 4gb movie to 156mb!! You can compress your movies even more if you don't mind them looking all grainy.

How about using the Sandisk V-Mate. It connects inline between your TV and DVD player, cable box, VCR, etc. All you need to do is put your mini SD card in it and it copies directly to it. It converts to MPEG4 when it copies to the card and you can fit 7 hours on a 2GB card. Just an idea, it works great for me.

I had never heard of that!! Does it just convert into MPEG4? I ask because my Axim has wmp 10, but it doesn't play mpeg4.

I have no idea. As far as I know it only does mpeg4, but I will check it tonite. I ordered it directly from Sandisk and got it in 6 days, and I live in Canada. I have converted music videos, tv shows, movies etc. I personally use it alot becasue I fly alot and nothing better to pass the time waiting in an airport than watchin' tv.
