not sure what to tell you
as long as you have the flash cab file and tcpmp installed from that thread AND in the same location (either sd card or device) then you should not see WMP come up

if you have it done just like i said and it still comes up with WMP then uninstall both and retry it

HALLELUIAH!!! Was beatin my head against this mod till 3 am this mornin, gave up, and read all 66 pages of this thread instead of just the initial install instructions. I too was havin the same WMP problem, it would still launch and then fail instead of TCPMP. Flash Video and MMS would show up in the Settings>File Associations for TCPMP but the sites folder wasn't being created in the Program Files>TCPMP directory... I'd removed and reinstalled several times! So, about an hour ago I removed all the crap I'd accumulated trying to get this goin, then deleted all the cab files I'd also accumulated in this process. An empty TCPMP directory was still present in my Program Files directory after a soft reset, so I deleted it as well then soft reset again. This time I used the link to the following thread:

http://discussion.treocentral.com/sh...31&postcount=1

Was at work and couldn't ActiveSync to my Q9m, so I instead copied the thread and emailed it to my gmail account, checked the mail on my Q, and used the links to download/install the cabs, soft reset, and BINGO! Finally the site folders were now in the TCPMP director!!! And the shortcut to the local Video Sites.html was now in my Start Menu!! I feel like I just hit the lotto

This is by far one of the most kick a$$ forums I've ever been on, thanks a ton everyone, lookin forward to more Q fun!

I am having the same problems Gemini seemed to have. I have followed all of the recent steps that he did, and I have installed the correct, new files from the *Updated* list linked to the first post. I got to the point where WMP still comes up when I try to play a YouTube video, so I got somewhat frustrated and changed all of the File Associations inside the new player to open with the player.

Interestingly enough (for me anyway) when I tried opening a YouTube video now, it reads: "RTSP protocol not supported!". This confuses me slightly, mostly because I thought the entire reasoning behind the new player is that it *Does* play streaming videos.

I just joined this community, and I am relatively new to making advanced changes to my Q. I have tried a few other things on the website before, with great success, but this one seems to have me stumped. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there is Opera Mobile compatibility with TCPMP and this Youtube deal?

Everytime I open PIE I cringe...
