Full YouTube access on the Q ; It works - Page 56 - Motorola Q Forum

Hello everyone. I joined a bit ago but never really looked around. I was wondering how I can get youtube on my Q. The first post says to go to a couple of sites and download the file but I also saw a link to the updated files. The updated ones however, have to be downloaded and then installed on my Q? How does this work? I tried searching but can't seem to find exactly how to do this. Thanks in advance!

not sure what you are asking?
are you asking how to install the files? or what files to download?

both actually. Sorry, if I wasn't a bit more detailed. I don't just want to be installing stuff on there. I wanna do it right.

use the 'updated' link in the first post of this thread
download both the flash cab file and tcpmp flash file to the PC

then move both cab files to the Q (DO NOT UNZIP/REMOVE CONTENTS FROM THE FILES) then navigate to the file using the Q's file manager and install the files

NOTE: the files MUST BE installed in the same location or it will not work
also note that when you load up youtube you will be taken to the mobile site...scroll to the bottom and then click on classic view for it to work

Do you have any idea why the video play locks up on my Q9h? It cant be data speed because my Q9 is so fast it dosent even buffer using any other streaming video app I use.

After a minute or so the video just freezes and not once has it tried to rebuffer or start again?

i do not know why...it cant be becuase of WM6 since Q9m users use it just fine

Such a bummer!! It would be so great if it played a video all the way through. The picture & sound quality are just amazing.

worked perfect. you should put this at the the front of this thread. its the only thing that made sense to me...and i spent at leat an hour reading through stuff in this thread.
