Default flashlight for video when recording

I know this is a far fetched silly question but you know there is a flashlight program....well is there somethig similar so that when you can record a video you can have the flash bulb on for extra lighting. I was at a show and the lighting sucked...oh well....

Turn on the camera. Then Menu > Flash > On.

IMO this is just going to suck the poor ol' Q's battery dry. I also read earlier in a (unremembered) thread that the light (as you intend using it) wasn't that good.

That's all you have to do. I just used this for the first time last night in a pitch black room to take a vid of my dog acting crazy. It works pretty well. It could be brighter, but it easily matches the quality of the camera. If it was any brighter you'd just be lighting things that you couldn't see in the video anyway.
