Informative Facade & Papyrus

not sure where this "rumor" started but a lot of folks seem to think Facade and Papyrus "work together" (ok, they kinda do), but in reality they are two completely different applications. (actually 1 is a plug-in, Facade)

Facade:
Quote:
Facade is a highly customizable tab-based Home screen plug-in for Smartphone devices. With Facade, you can view your upcoming appointments and tasks directly on your Smartphone Home screen, keeping you up to date on all your important appointments and tasks.

Additionally, Facade puts a launcher tool right onto that same Home screen, allowing you to launch your favorite applications directly from your Home screen with just a single click and monitoring your Smartphone battery and memory status using special meters.
Papyrus:
Quote:
Papyrus turns your Smartphone into a powerful time management system. Papyrus offers innovative and compelling tools to manage and keep track of your schedule, plus advanced views, category coloring, and icons far beyond the ability of the default Smartphone Calendar and Tasks programs. What's more, Papyrus is highly customizable, so it works the way you work while keeping the intuitive and user-friendly interface you expect of your Smartphone.

This is how your Smartphone is supposed to act!
ps. they are from the same developer found at http://www.sbsh.net

i hope i have killed that rumor.

The "work together" part is where Facade can open directly into different Papyrus views, which it cannot do with the default calendar application. I hope this helps.

- View Details (of selected appointment)
- Open Notes (of the selected appointment)
- Open Tasks
- Open Calendar
- Open Monthly View
- Open Daily View
- Open Weekly View
- Delete (deletes selected appointment/task)
- Complete Task (marks selected task as completed)
- Activate (reactivates completed tasks)

A few more options are available. Just listing those here to give users an impression of what can be done directly from the homescreen with Facade and Papyrus installed.

Just FYI, I think "New appointment" / "New task" is planned (will be quite handy IMO).

i think so too
it would cut out a few steps

but one thing i dont like of papyrus is the lag time it takes to change months in 'month view'
