Often, I find myself needing to quickly send a contact via e-mail to someone else. I just the other day ran into a client who needed some of my contact info but he had no infared capability and I didn't have the patience to teach him how to do it via Bluetooth while running to my next appointment.
This made me think-- wouldn't it be nice if I could select a contact and specify to "Send via e-mail" rather than via IR, BT, etc. I cannot speak as to to possibility of incorporating this feature into XA as it may be limited by the Q's native software.
Anyhow-- it would be GREAT if, failing the ability to send the contact intact as an Outlook contact-- you could specify to e-mail all of the contact's data fields in just plain text or CSV. The overall goal would be that the receiver could take a quick look at the data and act on it-- rather than being tied to actually having to enter it into his/her contact list. Often, I'm just gonna' call/e-mail someone once and don't need them in my contact list. Obviously-- you could even expand this to allow people to "Send Contact via Text Message" as well.
Extra Credit: Cannot tell you how many times I've been talking to one contact who then asks me for contact info on another. I put them on hold and look up the other contact , then read the info to them. Problem being that most of the time-- they also are on their cell phone and have a hard time getting all of the info. So it would be nice to be able to text/e-mail the info to their phone/computer while still on the line with them. It would be EVER so nice to be able to specify to send a particular FIELD (i.e. home phone number) via e-mail/text without having to send the whole contact. I could even envision being presented with a checkbox-style list of the contact's fields and being able to specify which fields were sent. Big task I'm sure-- but you never get if you never ask! Thanks again for such a great product and the great response here in the forums!
Anyhow, just thinking out loud here. If anyone knows of a good way to accomplish what I'm trying to do here-- please berate me accordingly and reveal what I should be doing!
