Hi... I'm wondering... when you get a desktop based installer is there a CAB file inside that is being uploaded to the Q for install? I think there must be.
Is there way to extract this CAB file from the desktop installers so you can manually copy it over and install it?
I ask this because I primarily use a Mac. So far there is no desktop installer I've found that will work on Mac. So what I'd like to do for new software is extract the CAB and copy it over bluetooth to the phone then manually install it there.
Yes, there is an imbedded .cab file in the installer package. The installer itself is normally in the form of a self-extracting .exe file. Unless you have a copy of the install package compiler you are pretty much out of luck.
