Hey all,
Ok, I am using pocket player on my Q. I like to listen to the weekly streaming show at
www.deadpit.com (
HERE). So, to do that, I will go to that page, and click on the 'listen now' link, and it streams fine to my pocket player (PP). PP also keeps the address hanging around, so i can visit it later without having to go to the site.
Now, this is where my question is, i understand that since deadpit just has links to the weekly show, and no rss or podcast feature, the method that I am using is the best (i think).
Now, I want to learn more about .rss feeds and podcasts and have found a few horror sites that may fill that want.
Now
www.rottingfleshradio.com has a podcast that they do weekly, that has a special link of
http://www.rfrpodcast.com/. Now, I also found that there is a link to all of their rss feeds at
http://rottingfleshradio.oct31st.org/rfr.xml
Now, does that mean that I can get an app that will look specifically for the shows at rottingfleshradio, and put the links in my phone so I can click on them to play?
I am basically looking to see if there's a way I can just open an app, hit update, and have the show links come In for me to click on - instead of me having to visit the website all the time...
I stumbled across
http://pocketpodcasts.sourceforge.net/ that claims to do podcast rss reading. Is this something I would use, or does PP do it all?
Sorry for the questions, but I know there's an expert on here who could explain it very well.... I am sure this will help others as well..
After learning the basics here, i am excited to search for thousands of other podcasts/rss feeds and see what I can have delivered to my Q!!
Thanks,
Matt!
