Did anybody try Fring? VOIP calls ? - Motorola Q Forum

Guys,
Did anybody try Fring ? I tried to install it on my Q twice yesterday and I got errors and asked me to report to Microsoft. That was weird. The site does tell that Fring now supports Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 but didn't work for my Q.

I tried making a SkypeOut call with Fring. I could hear the party on the other end clearly, but they said my voice was very choppy. I had a similar experience using Skype For Mobile. I made the call from a location with poor reception. I checked the download speed, and it was about 150-250 kbs. It may have had to do with the internet speed. I'll try again when I am in a location with better reception.

I tried it with my Stanaphone account and couldn't get calls in or out.

Using the fring test call (I guess over the "fring" network) worked fine.

Looks promising. Hopefully they'll get the SIP thing working better soon.

Does anybody had problems installing Fring? When I installed it, it gives me windings text and I can not understand a thing. I don't know why

BIG-D, I already have Skype. Thanks for the link. But I was looking for something which can support SIP softphone. Fring has SIP feature. I was wondering if anybody tried any other SIP softphone for Q

??
