Default Coreplayer and Windows Media Player

Here's my problem guys: I installed Coreplayer but couldn't get it to work and play my videos correctly. (Note, these videos are all taken with my Q9's internal video recorder.) They played fine for a couple sec then appeared like rainbow squigglies, then played fine again, then agian rainbow squigglies. So I gave up and unistalled Coreplayer.

Now, when I go into My Pictures & Videos and try to play my videos (which would supposedly play with Windows Media Player now) they do not play. I get this message: Alert. Can't find 'filename' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.

Here's the kicker, when I go through the Q's file manager and find the video file that way and open that way - it opens and plays with Windows Media Player!

Help! Why does it NOT open and play when I go in thru My Pictures & Video but it DOES open and play when I go thru File Manager.

You might try to reinstall Coreplayer, then go into File Associations and uncheck all boxes. This should force everything back to the original settings. Then you can uninstall Coreplayer.

Did you remove the program with ActiveSync? This should remove any associations to Coreplayer.

Update:

So I uninstalled Coreplayer again, made sure to delete all files, then I also installed and ran Sktools Lite and cleaned my Q (wow, works great!). Ok, so then I installed tcpmp off of Rudeboy's page along with the AAC code. Then I went into tcpmp and undid all file associations, reboot, ran sktools again, reboot, and now my videos play with Media Player - yay!!!

So, I still have tcpmp installed on my Q in case I want to use it to play other videos because for some reason it just wont play my Q's recorded videos. Anywho, I'm happy

Default Anyone experiencing the same situation?

I have installed Coreplayer Media Player and TCPMP (separate occasions to test each one out) and neither one is able to play any video clips I record with my Q's internal video clip recorder.

Both programs play every other video correctly and it works good, even YouTube and stuff. However, I record a small video clip with my Q and play it with Coreplayer and/or TCPMP and it plays the first 2/3 secs then red/blue/yellow/green squiggly lines appear, then plays again 2/3 secs and again the squiggly lines appear.

Can anybody help me out with this? I mean I love these progs but they can't seem to play the video clips I record with the Q. Maybe it's some settings I need to edit in either prog? I don't know... but I would really appreciate any help.

Maybe somebody who has either prog can test it for me too and see if it's just me. Take a small video clip using your Q and try and play it with Coreplayer or TCPMP - does it play correctly?

I have AT&T Q9h Global

(bit of a *bump* in hopes somebody out there can shed some light...)
