So i read somewhere here that if you had copied your pim.vol to your storage card and you master reset your phone you could just copy it back to your phone and your contacts would be there.... it didn't work for me...any clues?? I lost all my contacts...nooooooooooooooooo

After a search & this is the first one I found so using it..
Try it this way...

It's pretty easy to back up your pim.vol file yourself without any third party software. Simply browse to the root of your phone, and copy, (not move), it over to your storage card.

If you ever have to restore your pim.vol file, simply rename the one on the root of your phone to something else, (such as pim.tmp), and copy back the pim.vol file from your storage card to the root of your phone. Soft reset your phone, and upon restart, your contacts list will be restored. You can now delete the file pim.tmp.

*Thanks k_semler*

I'm just curious. If I have my contacts and schedule backed up with outlook, would I be able to recover them all to my phone should something happen and a hard reset was needed?
