Default considering a purchase - have a few qts

I may buy this phone, which will replace my current phone and my palm pda. I have a few questions.

1) How easy to use are the PIM (calendar/task) functions on this phone? for example - How easy is it to enter or change an appt?

2) How is the battery life?

3) Can you get a full daily view of appts (like you can on a palm pda?)

3a) Can you set up repeating appts (like birthdays) with alarms?

Thanks! Scott.

It's easy enough to use the calendar/task functions. You might find the stock tasks app to be lacking, but third party apps like PowerTasks (see review) resolve this.

I definitely recommend the extended battery. VZW heavily discounted the extended battery from the launch of the Q. Not sure what it's running now, but expect to add $20 or so to your cost.

The standard homescreen displays your next appt. Selecting this will show your full day. There are numberous customizations you can do on the homescreen, which is one of the great things about the Q. I haven't used it yet, but Facade is a popular program for this purpose.

Yes, there are several options for setting up repeating appts and alarms for reminders. Very similar to what you'd find on the Palm.

Good luck.
