Interesting idea, appears to only be available to Bell Mobility customers in Canada at this time...

You can get it on the RIM website. Look under products.

1 - My employer has BES setup, but I don't know if they support this app.

2 - I downloaded the app (from the 3rd pary site linked to for Bell). Seems I am missing something, always get the below error when launching.

3 - I'm currently using WirelessSync (just fine) for all my work email/calendar/contacts, but would love to try BBConnect out.

EDIT:
The above error is from the desktop syncing client, but still not sure why its happening.

Found where the CABs where to put on the Q, there are two of them, one for the BB connect service and the other is small and seems to be specific to Bell.

In any case, I have the BB Connect Service on my Q now, will have to check with work next week to see if they will give me an account on BES or not, if it will even work.

You need to make sure that the Blackberry Data Plan or SOC (Don't know what it means) is associated to your device at the carrier. This carrier config will allow you to access the Blackberry network.

I have heard reports that Sprint will let you do that. Verizon will not.... I tried multiple times, both with my old Treo 650 and with the Q. Verizon will not do it as it is a service that they do not offer and will not make any exceptions. I even escalated and got nowhere.

Right now, the only US carrier that supports this is AT&T. Tmobile and Sprint will let you do it, depending on whether or not the technician knows what you want, but they do not support it.

I have VZW, the Q is one of my (VZ) corp mobile lines. Will have to see if they will make an exception for me. I've had the Q since March, thought about changing to the BB 8830 recently, but decided to stick with the Q w/wirelesssync.

My guess is they won't do it though and just tell me to order the BB.

I think the IT department would have to set up the relay on your Corp. account so your email goes to the RIM servers. Then, instead of accessing the RIM server with a BB, you'd do it with the Q.

I'm going to try this as well.
