audio problems

I was trying to play my windows media player but I'm not getting any sound out of it. I hear other sounds, plus my alarm works but the media isn't. I have recently loaded a few programs from this site, (audio programs) but have since deleted them to see if that might of been the problem still no sound from the media player. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

This had happened to me before. I know that the last time I finally gave up and did a master reset, but this time I really would like to understand what caused this. I would rather not reset it again. I will let you know if I find out what fixes it.

Hey, take a look in this other post. I think this will solve your problem. I had the same problem and with me this fix!
