Screw it - I'll do it. I have the total protection insurance, not to mention my credit card company will back up the phone purchase for a year in addition to the standard warranty. Worst case scenario it'll cost me $50 for a replacement.

If someone will tell me how to actually *install* this thing on my Q, I'll do it right now.

Not going to happen.. It will take some major development time to get this to go onto a Q, it won't just install.

Im curious as to what gives you the opinion that this is going to be 'big'? I have my own ideas that it may or may not be, but do people really see great
things they like or are they just buying the hype because they see the word "Google"...?? Ill follow with my take if I get some feedback?

Hey all,

Android seems, slick, clean, and cool -- but whenever I see an interface like that, the first thing i think of is how it's going to try and do everything for you by guessing what you want, and not letting you have total control (as far as menus, options, etc go...) Hopefully this will change my mind...

Later,

Matt!

someone has some soft of emulation, shoe horned for the q. I can't think of anything more satisfying than dumping window mobile 5 off of my q.

the funny thing is there are youtube videos, which show a chinese group at one of the conventions, sporting existing hardware, running android.

i wonder how these copies are making their way onto this existing hardware?

I think he means that if you brought the iphone into a bakery, the baker would be so blown away by its touch screen that he would give you a free cake. I would imagine android would at least take the cupcake or maybe a croissant
