Default Alarm?

Does anyone know how to get the alarm that comes pre-installed to ring more than once? I'm a hard sleeper and I never hear the thing!

If it can't be changed, do you know where I can find a good, meaning free, alarm that does?

Go into Settings/Sounds and change it to a different tune.

Default Multiple Alarm Rings

That will make it ring longer, but not multiple times (unless you record multiple rings).

Another thing to try is editing the profile you use and changing the Alarm type setting (try Increasing). That's what I have set and my alarms repeat every couple of minutes.

A good alarm program is Gentimer (if you don't mind paying $10). It lets you set multiple alarms and choose which days they'll go off on. It also has a world clock, stopwatch and countdown timers.

not trying to be rude, and i think steve will agree. the standard alarm on the Q is terrible. i would consider a third party app.

I defnitely agree. On the older (Windows Mobile 2003 and earlier) Pocket PCs, you had four alarms and could set the days they went off. I wanted more alarms because I want reminders about certain things that I may not want synced with Outlook (like wake up reminders, time to take medicines, whatever), but the Pocket PC OS only gave you as many alarms as would fit on a screen.

Starting with Windows Mobile 2003 SE, they reduced the number to three (presumably because you could only fit three alarms on a landscape screen).

Now I find out on a Smartphone (at least in WM 5) that you can only have one alarm and can't even set what days it goes off. That totally sucks, which is why I bought Gentimer. I think it might have been the first piece of Smartphone software I paid for.

Yeah, I think the 1st app that I'm actually going to pay for will be an alarm. Well, considering all the free apps that I have, I guess its time to give a little..

I use two different methods... Either set an apt... or use the alarm in Fizz traveler... Either method allows for a "snooze" if needed
