Agile IM question

well, i recently got my Q and i have been looking for an AIM i/m software, i looked around and found agile, on their website it didnt say anything about paying etc. so i dl'd it. Agile ended up not working on my phone, so i erased it. ive been browsing the forums and ive seen that agile cost money, so im assuming once you dl it they charge your phone and put it on your next months bill.

now heres my question

am i going to get charged for dl'ing agile even though i didnt use it? and is there any free instant messaging programs?
