The Samsung Quick Launcher is a nice little app that can be used to launch others:

The Quick Launcher is nice, but how can we launch it from anywhere? A button would be nice.

Camera Button for Launching!! Launch Menu Anywhere, Anytime.
(Thanks to leeosenton over at Qusers). As you can see, the Launcher has been packaged with a shortcut to the camera so you can still take that picture pretty quickly.

Bonus: ZapIt - the Killer App (lol)
ZapIt is a very old freeware application, originally for Pocket PC, that still works on our systems because it does something very simple: Kills the active application. Thanks to this launcher, we have a way to call it on top of another app. See the animation, you launch Zapit on top of another application and it kills it. No need to reach for the Task Manager. Once you install the launcher, you can remove Zapit from the list if you do not want it.

Notes:

You can also see there's an 'Edit' button, if you don't like any of the presets, you can change them to your liking.
TIP: The keyboard is enabled so, for example, typing the letter 'i' will highlight Internet Explorer
Do not run ZapIT when on top of the homescreen, you will have to restart the device!! Only hit zapit when on top of an application you want to kill.

Notes (advanced):
If you want the camera key back, uninstall. But if you want to keep the application and retain the camera key, use a registry editor and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Camera \Application and change the value to (without quotes) "pimg.exe -Camerakey"

This looks very interesting. Anyone tried it on the Q yet?

Is this another piece of software (like Office WM6 for WM5) that's in a legal gray area?

works on my Q, it was packaged for the Q (see the Q's task manager in the screenshot)

Works as described and expected. Ability to edit preset is a plus. Icon or icon+text view, no limit number of preset, I think. Pretty handy, best of all, FREE.

yea works pretty good...didnt get to remap the camera button but i can imagine it works pretty well since there is a camera function in the app....i would recomend it...

I like this.......still some more playing around with it to decide if I'm keeping it, for sure.

One problem. ZapIt doesn't kill PIE. That's one thing I'd use it most for, probably. Anyone else experience the same thing or know why? ZapIt does kill other stuff for me, just not PIE.

Also, any way to get a program icon for it? Just showing up as the program icon that usually means program not found. Be nicer if it had it's own icon.

ZapIt does kill PIE, at least for me, while on a web page but Not when on the Favorites list.

As for the icon, you could remove it from \windows\start menu, it serves no real purpose being in there.
