It is very neat what they are doing with this. Hope it finishes off well

nice little prog for your PC to make a custom cab file home screen. makes it easier for us who don't like programming the registry.

as for the homescreen builder thats what i use to start off the homescreen process...a good program to have

yea, I have tried it. considering it is alpha version and it is all animaed and snazzy looking, it really runs quite well. its really nice to use. Bring up the start bar at any time by hitting the home key. go home by dubble tapping the home key. one brought up, the start bar has the start menue (l soft key) and the task menue (quit programs among other things) set to the right soft key. Bring up a top menue at any time with selection, copy and paste options with other functions in it as well. I have not had it freeze at all, and really adds some eye candy to your Q's software. It also has some other functions. My only complaint was when I first went to uninstal it, then I went to use my start menue, WM5 couldnt bring up the start menue and there was an error message saying "cannot find smart toolkit". Apparently, before you uninstal it, you have to go into the control panel, then start menue (all in smart toolkit) and turn start menue to default...

so, give it a try if it intrigues you. at the least it will make you eiger to see the completed version when it is done.
