Default Time Zones - Application or Registry Tweak !!

I have a real problem that I'm sure is common to many Q users. Time Zones!!

Daily, I travel across the Eastern / Central time zone line for business. I either have to set up my appointments one hour later than the agreed upon time or NOT reset my time zone when I cross over. Either way it gets very confusing

I know there are several regestry entries that pertain to the time zone settings but have no idea how they actually work in relation to WM5.

It would seem that disableing the registry setting would force the Q to read the tower given time and change the time automatically, without screwing up my calendar. Is that possible or could an application that would freeze up my calendar times work?

I need to solve this problem or move up to a day timer and my wife's free phone to supply me the correct solution.

Can anyone help??

I have seen this discussed in many forums. Have not as yet seen a resolution. Apparently no one has bothered to develop an app that will do what you are looking for.

This is a huge PITA for me too. I set my calendar to give me adequate warning of flight times in Outlook, but when I change time zones on the plane it hoses everything. If there was a way to add the time zone the time is in in Outlook I'd be all set, but there isn't.

Is there a third-party calendar ap that doesn't have this problem?

Not so far.

I understand the work-around, it just adds a lot of time to setting up an appointment on the calendar and doesn't address things like an entry that starts in one time zone and ends in another. Crossing the international dateline would also scramble it. Still looking for a calendar ap that doesn't require these gymnastics (like my old Palm's).
