Textbox input in .Net Cf 2.0/VS 2005 Forms - Motorola Q Forum

I'm working on some mobile forms in Visual Studio 2005. I noticed in the Q emulator, when I try to type digits into a textbox, I have to press the key x number of times, kind of like when you use the numeric keypad on a standard mobile phone. Is this normal behavior, or did I set something up incorrectly? It's not a huge deal, I was just curious...

miro, I use Visual Studio .NET 2003, with Smartphone SDK. I can't get the emulator to run on my laptop for some reason. I found a fix for it, but still can't get it to run. So, I have to do it the long way. Build solution, and Copy/Paste the .Exe file to my Q.

Regarding the Text box: When I have a textbox running, it defaults to text. I have to press the key left of the "Z" key to get numbers entered. I'm not sure if it's just 2003, or what. School only runs 2003. I want to get 2005. I know I am limited to so many things I can set up.

Why do you do it that way? if the Q is connected to activesync, you can debug right on the phone itself. Just don't make anything that might destry your phone that's all.

I can't debug while the phone is connected ActiveSync. There is something wrong.

I can't do any damage, cause I am very limited in what I can program.

I seem to remember something about the number keys not working on the emulator for the Q. If you're wanting to have a text field switch to number input mode when it is moved to, there is a way to do that.

I cant figure this out, very frustrating!!! WHy even release the Q plugin if we can't use it?
